Hello everyone,
I hope this message finds you well. Over the weekend, we had our first fundraising event in many years for Naas Hockey Club, and it was a resounding success!
Our event "Stride for Success" was a Sponsored walk where club members collectively walked the equivalent of Malin Head to Mizen Head by completing 5 laps of the pitch each. Our goal was to raise €10,000 for the Club, and I am thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible generosity of our members and supporters, we have reached and even exceeded our target.
The atmosphere at both our pitches in St Mary’s and in the Naas Sports Centre was buzzing with activity, and the energy throughout the day was simply fantastic. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to everyone on the Naas Hockey Club committee, our dedicated team captains, coaches, parents, and numerous volunteers for their invaluable contributions that made this day such a triumph. Whether you provided treats, assisted with set-up, or walked laps, your efforts have not gone unnoticed.
It truly showcases how strong and supportive our community at Naas Hockey Club is, capable of achieving remarkable things together. A special shoutout goes to Robyn McKenna, our newly appointed fundraising officer, whose impactful presence has already made a significant difference to the club's initiatives.
Once again, thank you to each and every one of you for your unwavering support.
Warm regards,
Irene Gowing
Club President
