Local Derby alert . Naas minor 1 v Newbridge. The first half resulted in no scores however it was nail biting and on an edge.

The second half Naas gor into gear. And the teams exchange salvos. Niamh Crotty scores for Naas. Newbridge level with a goal. Ella Guing puts Naas ahead. Newbridge level again. Charlotte Purcell seals the deal , in last 5 minutes with no reply. Brilliant display from all Naas minor 1 players

Nothing left in the tank at the end. This team has a never say die attitude and belief, dispite what’s thrown against them.

The first year girls were in action again this week, this time in the Shield Semi finals. Team 1 vs Our Lady's 4-3. Satisfying win as girls lost to the same team earlier in the year. Nice for the girls to have a final to look forward to. Thanks to Aoife for umpiring.

Team 3 vs Bray. Wonderful little game of hockey and great way to close out the season for this group. Score 4 all at full time, 3 all after first set of penalty shootouts with game going to sudden death....the drama!. Bray finally sealing the win 2-1. Well done both teams and best of luck to Bray in the final.

Another great weekend of hockey finished as we get down to the business end of the season.
