Naas ladies 1s had their second match of the week on Saturday after a draw against Kilkenny on Thursday night.
It was a late tip off on a cold January evening. The girls were playing a strong Corinthians team but they started off very strong linking up well and working relentlessly. They kept the high intensity throughout the match defending well with many attacking opportunities and a few short corners which they unfortunately couldn’t convert. In the third quarter Tory scored a lovely goal from play to put the girls 1-0 up. With about 22 minutes to go and 1-0 up the supporters were on the edge of their seats. They managed the game well and kept defending to the end with some superb saves from Jess throughout the match and got a well deserved win against the league leaders. Player of the match went to goal scorer Tory who worked tirelessly from start to finish!
