Naas Ladies 1's secured a vital 3 points against Rathgar as they head into the business end of the season. Naas started strong and scored their first goal within a few mins from a passsge of play down the left side, with a cross from Saidhbh to Jane on the penalty spot to put away. Naas continued to put pressure on Rathgar in the 2nd quarter with a high press and a solo run by Saidhbh who finished with an impressive back stick shot from the top of the circle to make it 2-0. Rathgar started the 3rd quarter with more vigour and had some breaks down the middle of the pitch but these were well managed by a solid and composed Naas defense. Naas had a number of short corners in the 4th quarter and were unlucky not to convert these. Player of the match was rewarded to Zoe who had a super performance in the midfield. The ladies 1's will face Corinthians away next week.
